DeLisa Deutsch, MS, LPC-S, CEDS
DeLisa Deutsch is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor who is licensed in the state of Texas and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). She provides individual, couples, and family therapy services to ages 12 through adulthood. She earned her Master of Science degree with a focus in Marriage and Family Studies from University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She practices evidenced based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and family systems models.
DeLisa specializes in couples and family therapy with focus on life transitions, wellness (including mood, anxiety, and eating disorders), as well as individual therapy. Prior to her training in eating disorders, DeLisa worked in brain injury rehabilitation. She witnessed first hand the healing power of the brain and still applies that experience to promote cognitive flexibility and reinforce new skills in her current practice. She is passionate about supporting individuals, couples and families across the life-span to promote a sense of well-being, resiliency and optimal adjustment.
DeLisa has two rescue dogs, Gunner The Huskador and Horton The Catahoula, with whom she likes to cuddle in bed, watch TV, and practice tricks for treats! They have big personalities and are always a hit with visitors or at the dog park.
